Get Involved
There’s more than one way that you can help. Whether you want to work, volunteer, or donate to The Mud House Children's Foundation, there are plenty of ways to join us in making a real difference. Check out the opportunities to get involved below and contact us if you have any questions. We appreciate your interest.
Sponsor a Child
Our Sponsor a Child programme has been hugely successful and is making a tangible difference to the children, their families and this remote Maasai community. With £25 or £50 a month options covering education, boarding, food and clothes. Sponsors receive regular updates and can on occasion have the opportunity to visit Wasso and meet the family they are helping.
The Mud House Club
The Mud House Club is about becoming part of an engaged community around the charity’s activities. With access to exclusive content, the opportunity to feedback and help develop the charity in a collaborative manner.
You can be part of this new exciting group, by making a small donation of £5 a month, safe in the knowledge that your money is going directly to helping Maasai children who live in one of the remotest parts of the East Africa.
Online Shopping
We have discovered an amazing way of raising funds “Easyfundraising”. All you have to do is download the app and sign up.... then start shopping! There are over 3000 retailers taking part, who will donate a percentage of your purchase to MHCF, including Amazon, EBay, ASOS, Marks and Spencers. There are no extra charges for either you or the charity. It’s as easy as that, so please help us to raise vital funds in this simple, no hassle way.
One-Off Donations
We're extremely fortunate to have been supported by some extraordinarily generous groups, businesses and individuals. If you're part of an organisation looking to support a charity where you can make a real difference, we'd be very grateful for your donations. We are able to work around your budgets and any particular projects you would wish to support or develop; from feeding programmes, educational development and those that enhance the quality of life for the Maasai residents, such as the chimney solution.
Fundraising
We're always open to new ideas to keep the fundraising efforts going throughout the year. We have benefited from marathon and fun runners in the past and are keen to work with anyone ready for a challenge! We also benefit from all proceeds at The Little Festival in the Field, an annual family event in Hampshire.
