Because taps have been installed at Mama Sylvia’s Primary school the children are now able to wash their hands after going to the toilet and before they eat.

Workaway Travellers have become a really valuable and enjoyable project to be part of.

We were able to demonstrate our sincere thanks to Mr Ian Readhead DCC, our amazing Vice Chair, who sadly died in 2020, by erecting a plaque in his honour in one of our charity playgrounds in Wasso.

We are extremely proud that our Patron, Sylvia Goodall was award an MBE in 2023 in recognition of her services to education overseas.  As a recognition in Wasso, the Tanzanian Government re-named the primary school at Njorietti Primary School after her.  It is now called Mama Sylvia’s School.

We have now fitted 85 chimneys into Maasai mud houses

Our sponsored children programme is absolutely thriving thanks to the generosity of our sponsors.

Rovaldo, our oldest sponsored student, qualified as a doctor this year, and Sylvia Goodall MBE attended his graduation in Dar Es Salaam.

Several of our university and college students met in Wasso in October for a fabulous reunion.  Student doctors, nurses, accounts, midwives, - we are so proud of them
