Our thanks to Scott Bader

At The Mud House Children’s Foundation, we rely on the generosity of our sponsors, trustees and supporters to continue to invest in projects designed to improve the welfare of those living in Wasso, Ngorongoro, Tanzania.

Last year, on a personal visit to Tanzania, Nicky Jarman and Sylvia Goodall were fortunate enough to come across the paths of someone who could help. They were introduced to Scott Bader, a global company who donate £100,000s to charities worldwide each and every year.

Nicky and Sylvia were invited to bid for funding by way of a grant from this charitable company, and earlier this year, discovered that not only had they been successful, but The Mud House Children’s Foundation were to be awarded with a £25,000 donation which will go towards funding a new borehole and water well in Wasso.

The lack of access to clean water is a major issue in many parts of Tanzania, including Wasso. The region is known for its dry and arid climate, which makes it difficult for locals to access safe drinking water. As a result, many people in the area are forced to rely on contaminated water sources, leading to illness and disease.

The new borehole and water well, funded by Scott Bader’s donation, will provide a reliable source of clean water for the people of Wasso. The project is expected to benefit over 1,500 people in the local community, including children who attend The Mud House Children's Foundation's school.

The donation from Scott Bader is part of the company's ongoing commitment to social responsibility and sustainability. The company has a long history of supporting community projects and initiatives around the world, with a particular focus on environmental sustainability and education.

In a statement, Scott Bader Commonwealth's CEO, Jean-Claude Pierre, said: "We are proud to support The Mud House Children's Foundation and their work to improve the lives of children in Tanzania. Access to clean water is a basic human right, and we are pleased to contribute to this important project that will provide clean water to so many people in need."

Nicky adds, "we are thrilled to receive this generous donation from Scott Bader Commonwealth. The new borehole and water well will have a significant impact on the lives of the children and families we support, and we are grateful for Scott Bader's commitment to social responsibility and sustainability."

Scott Bader’s donation to The Mud House Children's Foundation will make a meaningful difference in the lives of many people in Wasso. By providing a reliable source of clean water, the project will improve the health and well-being of the local community and contribute to a more sustainable future.
